  I agree that act of eating human flesh is applicable in the situation like the movie. The people were dead and I really agree that it is ok to eat human flesh because it is really a situation where if you don't eat, you will die. Some people might say that the character is just using god as something for getting food because he is really starving. It can be, but it is not possible because if god wants you to eat it and save their selves, you should. We couldn't understand at first why god did that, but now we know that because god made them a motivational speaker who turns people to believe in god. I think eating a dead people was something like donating organs after death. The people who were dead were not killed by the survivors, but accident or coldness killed them, so it was not their choice to kill them. They donated their whole body for other people's life and also the body is not needed by them because they are already dead. They will also be proud because they donated their body for others need. 

Last Week

Huah,,,, Time flies! It has been 6 month I went to MIT and it feels like I'm just new here. When I first came here I was quiet and just studied, but now, I think I changed a lot. People around me really helped me to settle in the place. When I first went to Brent, I couldn't talk with them because I didn't know any English. I am happy that I moved here because I study here. I always got GPA of 3.5 in Brent and didn't go up. The reason why I got grades like that and didn't go up was because I didn't study. I didn't study because there were so many clubs that I can join that made me concentrate in other things. I joined Soccer team, ,other sports team  and also band and orchestra. I didn't concentrate on my studies but did concentrated on my clubs. My father then decided that I have to study so he moved me here. 6 month was like a journey and this journey had happy moments and sad moments. I think this journey was something that made who I am and I want to keep my journey as a memory and start a new one with another adventure. We have one more week left and I think we should study hard and have what we want to have. I heard some of us is leaving to other school or other countries. I don't think this is it and I wish I will meet them in the future. Did I talk to long? :)

Teachers should be paid according to how much their student learn. 

School is a place to learn knowledge, but if the school pays salary based on the student’s grade, what will happen? Will this help teachers and the students?

I do not agree with the statement teachers should be paid according to how much their student learns. Firstly, teachers are not the only people who are responsible for their students’ studies. Students themselves and other people, who take care of students after school, are also responsible for their academic accomplishments. A teacher does not have enough time in a class to give individual attention to every student. Parents and other people, who take care of students after school, are also responsible for their learning after school to improve their grades.

Secondly, every student gains knowledge with his own natural ability to learn. It is not necessary that all students will learn something at the same time. For example, in a class some students gives more concentration on studies and some take extra time to learn something. A student who has low IQ will concentrate less than a normal student. As a result, the results of a class will not be uniform.

Thirdly, may be, teachers become dishonest when they will be paid on the basis of their students learning. They will not teach them things that will help our future life. Instead of that, they will be worry about the results of the tests and exams of the students. For example, they teach only the topics which they are going to give in the exams because they will want their students to get good grades. That is because they know that if the grades of the students will be good then their salary will be increased.

In conclusion, Teachers should not be paid on the basis of their students learning because many other people than teachers are responsible for students’ academic success and also this will affect both students and teachers badly.

I will write reflection after watching a video 

It was so touching to see this video because I didn't know discrimination was happening. 

I really didn't know that people were so discriminating even me. I can not say I will stop discrimination because in my heart, it is doing it, but I try to not show it because this makes others feel bad.  

The world has different point of views and there is no good view and wrong view. That is why people saying whites are better than black without specifying that it's just your point of view is bad. Yes, this applies to every discrimination around the world. We can not say you are wrong because every body has different point of view, but one thing is if you discriminate a thing or a person, why do you tell the world about it. 

Now, How to combat these problems? 

1. Write a lot of posters and play the anti discrimination videos to make them touched and make them think how thing that they do affects people. 

2. Make a rule on discrimination to make people forced to do it 

3. Make a place to report discrimination. People should tell they are getting discriminated or not.

4.  Teachers should treat everybody equally.

I don't wish that the world will be a place without discrimination. I just wish that people would not show they are discriminating. I  just want to share a video to end my talk

“Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship”

Humans need to have any kind of relationship to be called as a human, and in any relationship, people limit showing every part of their privacy. Why? Humans have faults with them and they think if they show their faults, the relationship will break. So, what is the best way? Do we tell the truth or not?

           When we always tell truth, we don’t have any privacy left with us. This makes us to lose our identity. When we lose our identity, it is really hard to live as a good person, because everybody will think that I’m a hypocrite. Everybody knows what I will do next, so it will be hard for me to start something. Humans are cunning creatures whom use others for their own good. If they know every part of me, they will use my information to do bad things like stealing and selling me to kidnapper.    

           Also, not telling truth can be a good tactic when the person has bad personal background. Nobody will want to become friend with former gangster or former criminal. People will fear the person and never go close to the person because they think the person will do the same to them.

           We also need white lies. White lies are lies that are done to protect somebody from danger. We often times use white lies to protect friends, but you also can use it to make others feel good. Even though if you think the person is not good at English, if you encourage them and say “you are good”, they will feel good and will want to be friend with you. We also tell white lies to not insult somebody even thought you feel bad.

           Nowadays, number of incidents was caused by telling truth to others. Telling truth can be a good thing to strengthen the relationship, but if it is returned with cajolement, you will have trouble.

1. Write a definition of the word indoctrinate. How does it differ from the word 

educate? How did Hitler try to indoctrinate young Germans? What should the

goals of education be? 

A: Definition of indoctrinate is teach someone or a group  systematically to accept doctrines. Doctrines are set of principles or beliefs. This differs with the word educate in many ways. First,  If people are indoctrinated, they are taught a particular belief with the aim that they will reject other beliefs. In education, they teach you for critical thinking and things that you can think of to learn as a question. Hitler tried to indoctrinate young Germans using good speech.  He first made the country powerful, economically and also in military. He then said to people that Jews are bad because we are superior than them.  That's why in the movie, Young Germans became some how like a slave because woman became prostitutes and young men became workers. They also killed people who can not work. People believed in him and was indoctrinated with his ideas. The goals of education should be to help others and also yourself. For example, you study to get in to good university, and you again study for your future job. You work to earn money. 

2. Why is it important that a child be taught to conform? To obey? What is the 

difference between obedience and blind obedience? What arguments would 

you use to convince a young Nazi that obeying is not always the right thing to 

do?

               It is important that child should be taught to conform and obey. For example, If your child runs towards a traffic, how important is it that they STOP just because you said STOP? Obedience is a must because this makes your life easy. Any country has a rule to obey, and if you don't obey the rules, you will have to pay compensation, go to 

the prison or in worse case, you will find yourself hurt after you didn't obey the rules. 

           Obedience and Blind Obedience is a really different thing. Obedience is a action 

that is following what someone is saying to do(you have a choice to do or not to do), but Blind obedience is obeying everything the other person says(no choice). Blind obedience happens for example when the high rank Nazi guy was shooting people if they don't work, so everybody will work hard to not die.  

           To convince a young Nazi we have to first show what is right and what will happen
 to the world if the world is without Nazi. We also have to tell them that they are getting 
brain washed by the Nazi. We also go to them with peace and love, so that they know we care about them and we are here to help them. 

Last Week

Last week, there were a lot of long tests and quiz. We had long test in Science, English, Math and Social Science. Why all together? ㅠㅠ The grades I got was good except English. I didn't study hard for English because I was cramming with a lot of things. Also Today, I think I have to cram,,,,, I have to do my SS homework, Science homework, English homework. I also have to study for my English quizzes. I am now thinking should I do the extra credit work or not....,. I have to also prepare for my upcoming final exam and aksi portfolio for Math and English. ahahahahah.......... ok Now I will tell what I have to do until vacation.

  This coming week will be a disaster because it has a lot of long tests and projects. Long test is really tiring to take because it's long,,,,,,, Science, Math,English and SS have long test and also we have to submit our mandarin and SS project.,,,,, I think I am good at cramming, but I think this cram will not be easy. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I think 4th quarter is really short and can be easy to get grade but also has high possibility to get low grade because one test affects our grade a lot. Next Next week is our final exam and I should start studying from now on. I am thinking that I should study now for my subjects and just review what I studied everyday to not forget. I think I also have to make my condition good because I am having a headache now because of lack of sleep(:))))))  I think Chemistry teacher is ok but I think the subject itself needs a lot of time to study and reason why we are not doing well in chemistry is because we don't study. Honestly I rarely study for my chemisty tests because I don't know what to study. I will try to study hard for chemistry and also SS because there will be a lot of memorization. I think I should solve a lot of exercises by myself in studying for chemistry and math. Now, I will study for my science and SS long test tomorrow.

Jazz

            I take cello lesson every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. I started playing cello as a kid and I was forced to do it because my mother was Violinist. Nowadays, something really came to help my nothingness to my music life. That is called Jazz. First, My father told me to learn guitar because I wanted to learn it because it was cool. When I was learning, I met a lot kind of music. Something that came to my heart was jazz. It touched my heart and I wanted to do it. That time, I was doing clarinet in Brent and I wanted to change my instrument because I began to like jazz. That's why I started learning Contrabass. I impressed other with my Contrabass, so people suggested that I should play Bass guitar. I learned it and join the band. The name of the band was Jazz Holic. The Band Included Bass, First Guitar, Second Guitar, Saxophone Vocal and Keyboard. The vocalist had really unique voice and I liked her voice. From then on, I loveeeeee Jazz. When improvising a song, you get to feel the music. But something happened today. I take cello lessen and I decided to quit cello because I really don't like it as my hobby(It looks cool but it's not cool:( My father told this to my teacher and the teacher taught me with kind of dissapointeness. After the lessen, my father and my teacher wanted me to continue learning it because they said it will be helpful in my future. I disagreed them saying that I should have a right to choose my type of music because they said Jazz is music is music that is only played in Bar. I was disappointed but I told my father I can't continue something that I don't like and he said OK. I really want to continue doing Jazz. I want to introduce my favorite jazz songs.

Prom

It was my first time participating a prom and I felt a lot of things. First, I went there with little expectation, but I was really surprised with quality of food and facility it provided. The Hotel itself was kind of luxury hotel and I enjoyed the food that they gave us . The setting  of mic and every system was nice. Another thing I enjoyed was the songs they played. The shows they performed was not really good but it was above my expectation. I didn't know the prom was this big and nice, so next year I want to perform something and have fun there. Also, I wish next year will have more people participating and coming to the party, Like not going in the middle of the show:) And I wish I hear more romantic songs not rock songs. Like this one

Malcolm X

               Today, I watched the movie called "Malcolm X". First, I watched it in English but it was hard to understand them, so I downloaded Korean subtitle and watched the movie. I found the movie interesting because the movie was about raacism. The movie seem tragic because Malcom died from his preacher. The Muhammad guy was really bad because he betrayed malcom. In this movie I learned the behavior of human due to him. The movie was easy to understand and I learned a lot from it. I also learned things that white did to black in 20 century. But what bad thing about this movie is that it is 3 hours long ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ. I almost slept during some parts, but at last I enjoyed the movie.
             I will tell you the basic summary. Starts with Malcolm making his hair straight to look like white. He goes to a club and meets white woman and have an appointment :) But later, He and his friend and white woman was caught doing a robbery and they go to prison. The two black boys are sent to jail for 8years and the others stayed for a year. After coming out, he decides to work for muhammad and be a agitator for black movement. He works hard but his fame made muhammad to use it and he felt betrayed. He still works hard being an agitator but he was shot by muhammad later.

Twitter

Twitter is becoming an new sensation around the world,but Why? Is it too simple or Just right?

Here are some reasons why it is famous

1. It’s not complicated. Just type in the tweet box and tweet. How simple is that. Also You could only type until 140 character, so it is not messy. 

2. You feel popular:Everybody wants to be famous. Admit it, when your follower number increases, you feel really happy, don’t you?  Twitter makes you feel famous and wanted. 

3. You get new friends: It can make really good friends more bond than actual friends.

4. You express your thoughts.Tweet gives you chance to express your opinion. It will make you tweet any even jokes and what you feel today because you have an audience to listen to. 

5. Celebrities: Celebrities are the reason why thousands of people join twitter. You can be updated on what they are doing recently. 

I also have account on twitter and I use it to be updated what my stars are doing.

Report Cards

In this Week, we got our report card. I wasn't thinking of getting the report card because I was really tired after submitting my social project(I learned to do things earlyㅠㅠ). When I saw my report card, it was not bad until I saw my science grade. Our classmates struggled in science this quarter including me. I think the topic about gas law was easy but topic about atoms were hard. I think this coming quarter will be more hard because we are doing organic chemistry. It is really complicated, so I decided to study before the lesson. The goal in this quarter is to get all grades higher  then A- . I really wish that I could get A or A+ in science to improve my grade for this semester. I want to go to College of Engineering, and I have to get good grade in Science and Math. I will lessen my time of playing games and wasting my time to study even one minute. I think change is made when we try and I will try. 

Sleep during classes?

       When you are sleepy and can't concentrate during studies? This can be said that you can't concentrate because you are sleepy. This also can be reversed and said that you feel sleepy because you can't concentrate. 

First, You should check your sleeping time. 

You have to sleep to release pressure and need energy for daily studies. You should make schedule of your sleeping time and to make the schedule with pattern. This will make your bio rhythm healthier. 

Second, Way to wake your self from sleeping during class 

Put cold water and drink it when you are sleepy. Also stretch and straighten your body during break time and this will make you awake. 

Third, Can't concentrate? 

If you can't concentrate, take all note from the board and listen to everything the teacher says. You also have to preview and review the lessen and take note of lessen earlier to see the difference between what you learned and what teacher says. If you take note during classes, it will make yourself too busy to sleep. 

Fourth, Change your attitude  

Don't think about sleeping before coming to the class. Try to think positive and think about what you will learn today and anticipate. This will be really helpful because doing what you like is the best thing you could do to make yourself happy and concentrated.

It can be hard to change everything at 1 second, but If you try, it will become your habit and this will make your study life way better than before.

Start with refreshment

         Tomorrow, I go back to school and start studying again. It was really relaxing week and I think I rested really well, but starting tomorrow is the new start. I felt a lot of thing during holy week. I went to church and prayed about what should I do. He answered me that I have to do a job that will spread god. I thought about it and I came into conclusion. I first have to study hard to choose a job that I want. If I'm good at studying, then I can do anything that I want. Like a lot of people, Our resolution of something lasts only a week, but I really wish that that is not for me. I will study hard until the end of this quarter and to not be lazy(my biggest problem).  

Rest

This week is a break and I wanted to spend it really quietly because it is commemorating god, but my friends wanted to see me, so I am going Clark for my short vacation. If you rest, You can finish work 2x faster. So how good is that, rest and work but 2x faster. 

Release Stress

Stress both takes a lot of energy and is also not healthy for the body, so you should get rid of them. Best way is to do things that you like and rest. 

                                                                         Make you Happy

when you are enjoying your rest time, you forget what had happened to you, so it makes you happy and make your endorphin flow again

Mission Vision Week

               This Week was the Mission Vision Week and a lot of things happened. On Monday, We had our play festival and I think I was not good. I was good when audience didn't react, but when audience reacted to me, I also couldn't  stop my self from laughting. I think I should learn how to always be in character and to control myself. On Tuesday, We had our music festival and I also joined there. I played guitar and cello. I think I played without a mistake, but Sam had some problem kk. Sam said he will practice more and perform the same song again next year kkkk. I really enjoyed music festival and want to do it again next year. On Wednesday, we had our regular class. On Thursday, we had our Class Booth, and we were indecisive and couldn't choose what to do. At the end, We decided to just do messenger booth. I didn't expected to earn a lot of money, but a lot of effort in advertising made people to buy it. I received one message from T.Sharon I don't still understand what is written there because it was in mandarin. On Friday, We did MITIS challenge and it was really hard. They asked me questions that were really crazy :$) I think It was really a fun week and I hope we do this one lots of times.

Preparing Week

    This week was really messy week. We had to prepare for our music and drama festival and we were in pressure. I got a lot of things because I have to perform in music fest and drama fest. For me, Drama fest is most tiring because I have to act and shout my line. We also had a game called Quiz or No Quiz to get extra point. It was fun to do it because it was really nerve breaking. We eventually got +5 in long test and holiday in sir perter's house. We also had visitor from WASK to check the school. In science, we studied Oxidation and it was as hard as a explaing why JF is perverted. We have to work hard now to nail our festival. Lets do this guys.
